A Purchase Agreement contains the terms and conditions by which one person agrees to sell and another agrees to buy real estate and any related personal property.
Purchase Agreements must be modified to meet the particular circumstances of each transaction, as each property is unique. Also, buyers want contract terms that differ from the terms sellers want, and so it is common for the terms of a Purchase Agreement to be negotiated.
This form should be the start of every real estate transaction, and will help to satisfy a rule of law called the Statute of Frauds.
